Amazon Kindle 2 - Best eBook Reader Compare:
Those who have been anxiously awaiting a product filled with upgrades that addressed many of the flaws of Amazon’s first Kindle electronic book reader are in luck! The recent release of the Kindle 2 has offered some excellent upgrades and new features. As we compare ereaders, we rate this as the best e book reader offered by Amazon. The price on the first Kindle is only $139 now, the Kindle 2 runs about $189.
The recently released Amazon Kindle 2 ebook reader offers seven times more memory than the first Kindle reader! The screen is greatly improved, and web pages look much better than they appeared on the first ebook reader (even if the grayscale doesn’t quite compare with color).
Amazon Kindle 2 is the best ebook reader produced by Amazon for almost every type of document imaginable. The reader’s ability to reproduce nearly every type of file format, including HTML, PDF, JPEG, and BMP files as well as, of course, Word files, offers a significant improvement over Kindle 1.
While we were doing the compare ereader reviews, we noticed that the new keyboard offers readers the ability to move the screen in five different directions, which is MUCH better than the simple up-down direction offered with Kindle 1.
Amazon’s best ebook reader on the market, Kindle 2 also features the ability to read to its owners. The computerized voice is sometimes natural and sometimes comical, and is generally much less easy to listen to than an audio book.
